Mes chéries, it’s been so long! As in a whole zodiac season passed, I re-launched and re-branded my YouTube channel, found a new soft and hard cheese, and changed roles at work. Or maybe a lot of sh*t just happened at once…not sure. Anyways, it’s so good to be back in the blogosphere!
Now that spring and its bipolar weather are fully in swing, I wanted to break up the zodiac series with a quick spring OOTD. I debated creating a mini lookbook with all my floral pieces but then we’d be looking at a good quarter of my closet out on my bedroom floor…so.
This OOTD showcases a maxi dress from Madewell perfect for spring outings to brunch, rooftop happy hours (or afternoon drinks), and any honestly any outdoor event. I broke this new dress out for my old roommate Krina’s (one of the “Hippos” if you recall) birthday brunch at Gitano Jungle Room followed with drinks at Jimmy at the James. It’s the perfect piece for this time of the year where the weather fluctuates around mid 60s because it still covers enough of your body to shield you for chill breezes and looks cute with or without a light jacket styled over it.
With the dress, I wore nude lace-up block heels from Lulus.com. You can easily swap shoes out for white wedges, nude block heels, or gold lace-up block heels. I paired the look with a blush pink Kate Spade crossbody bag and my Sandro white leather jacket (not pictured). You can also swap out the white leather for a denim jacket and white Keds to dress down the maxi dress if where you’re headed is more casual, making this a very versatile look.
Since the weather is not quite as warm yet, I kept my makeup on the cooler side. I’m not sure if you can tell, but I added a foiled lavender eyeshadow (Makeup Geek Plot Twist) to my lower lash line to match the tiny flowers on my dress and Sephora cream lip stain in#37 Pink Frosting to match.
Just like that, you have a quick spring OOTD! If you want to twin with me, pick up the same dress here! I promise to stop in for a more extensive post soon after the Taurus lookbook. I have details on my delicious omakase birthday dinner (super late on that of course), a post on career development, and a little post about love since it’s something we haven’t talked about in a while.
Look out for a YouTube video coming your way soon as well…once I stop losing my voice and getting burned by sparklers (watch for reference). Until then, you know the drill. Bisou bisou…
