The South Beach Diet: Miami Lookbook

The South Beach Diet: Miami Lookbook

Doing things a little differently around here today, mes chéries. I’m dropping by the blog for a New York minute (or maybe a Miami minute in this case) to show you all what I wore on my girls trip to Miami! You’re probably used to me rambling for a bit before I cut to the chase, but I’m keeping it short and sweet because I have other things in the works for you all that I need to devote my attention to… 😉

I went to Miami for Labor Day Weekend with my old summer roommates who you by now know as the “Hippos” group from my previous posts. (Seriously, don’t ask us why we’re called that. You don’t want to know.) Since this vacation was timed around our one-year work anniversaries, we included only 3 things on our travel itinerary:

  1. Get tan.
  2. Get drunk.
  3. Get more sleep than usual.

Our weekend was full of on and off thunderstorms plus a mini hurricane, so the “tan” part was not quite met. I really wished the weather allowed us some time to explore Little Havana, the Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, downtown Miami, the Venetian Islands, and more of Wyndwood than what we were able to see. There were so many other restaurants and food joints I wish we experienced too! Either way, it was still a fun getaway with the squad. We managed to go out to the “hottest” South Beach clubs, eat at Bodega, visit the Wynwood Walls, try two Miami Spice restaurants and unique mojitos at Miami Mojito Company and leave the infamous E11even at 7:30am (jk, I never made it to the club #grandma, but was there in spirit with them).

Check out our looks below! And before you ask, no we didn’t pack together or plan on matching. We’re all just pretty basic.

Until then, bisou bisou…
