My Fall Favorites of 2017

My Fall Favorites of 2017

Can you believe it’s November already, mes chéries? It’s like I blinked and it was BYE FOREVER OCTOBER! 🍂 I’m slightly peeved with Mother Nature because I have not been able to enjoy fall weather or fall fashion until quite literally this week, meaning I had zero time to shop for new fall pieces and wear them. I didn’t want to buy fall pieces that I would only be able to wear once or twice before the winter cold settles in.

Despite the sky’s agenda against my wardrobe this season, I still have a few fall favorites that I had to share for you all to enjoy before the season truly ends. I saved the best for last, so stick around to the end and you might find a little fall gift I have JUST FOR YOU! 😉

FALL FAVORITE EYESHADOW: Urban Decay Naked Heat

The palette might be named Heat, but the colors honestly scream fall to me. I’ve been experimenting with it all month because I love how that orange and reddish brown tones remind me of the beautiful leaves in my backyard at home. The shadows are not too soft but perfectly pressed for a pigmented but pact feel. The shades compliment each other better than the other Naked palettes I have tried; no matter what shades I use in this palette, the colors blend together seamlessly and beautifully unlike some palettes that mash the colors into a muddled grayish brown. There is no doubt that I will continue to play with this palette throughout November.

FALL FAVORITE LIP COLOR: L’Oréal x Balmain Lipsticks

There’s nothing I love more than making a powerful statement in the details. That’s why Balmain has always been one of my all-time favorite brands to draw inspiration from! So when I saw the sneak peek of L’Oréal and Balmain’s collaboration for a line of affordable drugstore lipsticks, I jumped onto Barney’s website and pre-ordered two lipsticks in Liberation and Power. The lipsticks are beautifully packaged and have that “luxurious” lipstick scent that many luxury brand lipsticks do, a detail that I love. I purchased the tamer of the few “out there” shades they released and have loved rocking the dark lips outside the office! Both the deep purple and medium brown go surprisingly well with my skintone too.

FALL FAVORITE SKINCARE: Drunk Elephant Skincare

Drunk Elephant or just drunk ;)? Just kidding, just kidding. When the seasons change, every part of my body reacts poorly. I get migraines whenever the air pressure or temperature changes drastically, and my skin either over produces oil or empties all moisture from itself and leaves my face parched. As you all know, I’ve been loving Drunk Elephant these months. Each night after I apply my serum, I apply a coat of the serum all over my face to soften my skin and layer the oil on top to prevent it from overproducing oil and lock in the moisture till daytime.

FALL FAVORITE READ: The Sun and Her Flowers

Rupi Kaur’s poems speak to me on a very personal level. Kaur’s writing draws from a pain that many can sympathize with but only some can truly empathize with. She has a magical talent for describing multiple feelings I’ve had difficulties dealing with in very few and simple words. Milk and Honey helped me through a rough patch during my last breakup. While I liked that book more, The Sun and Her Flowers is focused on growing out of the pain and blooming anew, something that I can relate to as I start this new chapter of my life.

FALL FAVORITE CLOTHING ITEM: my burnt orange shirt

Excuse the terrible job I did tucking this shirt in LOL. This burnt orange has been my favorite fall color the past two years. I find some way to work it into my outfits whether it’s casually paired with a pair of dark jeans or tucked into a skirt and paired with heels. The soft fabric makes it comfortable to wear and breathable when the heat at the office decides to toast us all to a crisp. Gotta love Uniqlo!

(Also, shoutout to my girl Vic for snagging these cute shots at work! #ravioli)

FALL FAVORITE SCENT: Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir

One of my best friends, Jasmine, gifted me this amazing mini candle earlier this year. I had been wanting to try Jo Malone scents and candles, so she picked me the perfect one! Pomegranate Noir is perfect for fall (and even winter) because of the rich juices of pomegranate, raspberry, and plum spiked with pepper, spicy woods, and topped with Casablanca lily. The dark but enigmatic aroma warms up my entire bedroom despite the small size of the candle. I light it ever night a little before bedtime and it creates the perfect atmosphere for me to relax into a deep slumber to.

FALL FAVORITE ACCESSORY: JORD Watch + 25% COUPON CODE JUST FOR YOU!

“The value of a watch is not in being able to tell how much time has passed, but in being aware of the need to make that time count. Moments are bigger than minutes and your watch should tell more than time.”

Now mes chéries, if you know me, you know I rarely leave the house without a watch on anymore. It’s not because I don’t have another device to tell me the time, but because a watch is a beautiful accessory that measures moments. You all know that I’m a very reflective person. I treasure time and experiences more than just knowing the exact time of day it is, an idea that JORD values.

JORD, pronounced “YOAD,” not only values experiential living but also successfully incorporates nature into modern lifestyles and trends. These wood watches are made from a number of woods like acacia, bamboo, rosewood, maplewood, walnut, and so on. To top it off, they can even be engraved! The watches are crafted so well that each wooden watch is smoothed over and sits comfortably on your wrist, so you don’t have to worry about blisters or the wood snagging at skin or hair.

Even though I love stones, sparkles, and glitzy embellishments, I also truly enjoy a more natural aesthetic. My JORD Frankie watch in Purpleheart & Plum has been my go-to accessory this fall. I get tons of compliments on it whenever I’m out and about or even just refilling my coffee in the kitchen at work because of its unique aesthetic and saturated color in the watch face.

When it comes to watch sizes and designs, I prefer statement pieces. My wrist is painfully small, so the Frankie is quite large on it but I absolutely LOVE it. The watch features sapphire crystal glass for an ultra slim and elegant case and a straight line strap. I love that JORD streamlines my focus to the time with a minimalistic face as I am a busy person who often runs late.

There are four beautiful purple/plum/burgundy tone in the watch band links which are held together by a deployment buckle with push buttons. The wood is hand treated and finished with tung oils and is splashproof, just in case you accidentally spill some water or your dog takes a good lick at you when you’re petting him! You’re even given your own mini product to care for your watch far past your 1 year warranty.

Mes chéries, if you’re shopping for yourself or a loved one this holiday season, IT’S YOUR LUCKY DAY! JORD makes a variety of men’s watches and women’s watches (although I find many series to look good on both) and rarely discount their watches. But for a limited time, I have a 25% off discount code for you all to use. Be sure to CLICK ON THIS LINK to enter your email for the discount code ASAP!

The amount of codes are limited and on a first come-first serve basis. Please be sure to grab one between now and November 27th to ensure you get your discount! I would hate for you to miss out on a fabulous sale.

And if you want to twin with me, be sure to check out my Frankie watch in Purpleheart & Plum once you enter your email for your 25% discount code!

I hope you enjoyed my fall favorites! A HUGE thank you to JORD for collaborating with me to give you guys this crazy good deal and for being some of the nicest people to work with. Be sure to leave a comment below telling me what you’ve been loving this fall! Happy shopping and stay cozy, mes chéries. Bisou bisou…
